| Well, I'm Dando - a random girl who loves to draw. I'm the kind of person who would be shy amongst a bunch of people but when with friends or if I'm really happy, I'll go up to someone and just say hi randomly. For me, drawing is an absolute passion. I mainly draw anime, manga and chibis but can draw a various amount of other things (animals, flowers, objects etc...). I started when I was 7 and have been drawing ever sinse |
Hello again!
This time it's 12:49pm - a decent time!!
I forgot to say what I've done drawing-wise.
Honestly, I've drawn nothing for a few days. I'm just starting to study for my Physics exam next week. I should do Calculus too but I'm better at Physics (yeah, a nearly fail is better than a fail...LOL) If only there was a drawing exam like in year 10....That was awesome! I got a merit for just shading!!!
Well, I partially lie, I've drawn concepts and development for a new character for another manga idea. Honestly, I loooooove this idea (which I'm not saying as someone might steal it). Lets just say that its about 80% original (as people might think it's like "Death Note" They have a few (and I mean a FEW) similarities (like theres a book and it relates to philosophy) but the whole plot and stuff is different. Let's just say that they're close to opposite, how about that?
I've had numerous amounts of manga ideas. Some are original and some I have no idea where they'll lead. One of them I've already planned which is 'Year of the Cat'. It's a sequel to 'Danni in Lala Land' except the main character is different than Danni and faces completely different challenges than what Danni faced (or will face as I haven't drawn it - but I've written it =] )
But that's all from me!
See ya!

I accept critisism but can I ask in what pictures do you think this? Just so I know

"I don't walk into phone boxes...Phone boxes walk into me"
That's good. Uhm, well.... all of your recent art needs the above improvement, so far...
I also need to work on my anatomy, so we can row the same boat together, as long as you promise not to stand up. I DUN WHANNA GET WET!

Hey, just out of curiosity, what made you want to leave a comment about improving? 'cause that was sooooooo random and out-of-the-blue
Oh okay. Thats cool

Well, I'd say about 90% or your art needs some type of anatomy work.
Ie: your current featured art work (the whole thing)... and many of your others... The ones that I will say were perfect (by personal opinion only) were the ones of Delta(?) and the one of "Love Neko Danni" was notably well done (the complexity of pose makes up for any anatomy mistakes because I'm sure it was difficult to draw... unless you copied it from a book....).
I'm not posting to bitch and complain, nore did I at any point indicate that you're "horrible". You just need a little improvement. So does Picaso.
I always give randome improvement comments, even to pros. And if not, I say something I would have prefered to have been done. If it's an opinion deriving from the meaning I receive from a meaningful peice of art, I indicate why I think it would look better with my suggestion. Art is ALWAYS inprovement. I would want someone to tell me what I need to work on.
Do you have any idea how long I sit and stare at a peice of art when it's finished to judge what I need improvement on? I have about a paragraph written on the page opposite a drawing, full of comments to myself about errors alone (they're on the opposite page because I have a hard cover, 1" thick sketchbook). I pick and beat myself up over EVERYTHING. I really prefer when someone else does it for me. It helps though, if you've ever looked at my art, you can see significant improvement.
At no point should you be insulted that someone finds that you've misproportioned something. Yes, it does look like you put alot of work in to Dani in lala land, but unfortunatly, it was one of the first pictures I made my response on.
If it makes you less upset, I can scan some of my comments from my sketchbook if you'd like to see how picky I am about my own art. It's offencive. : o I swear at myself in them, though. Mostly "Note to self: YOU (meaning me) ARE A DUMB***, YOU KNOW BETTER THAN THAT. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES YOU'VE SCREWED UP LIKE THAT?" .___.; People are bewildered at this (half of my school wants to look at my new art every week... it's annoying).
I look foreward to your response.
